Urban Whitetails in Athens, GA
I have been seeing a ton of deer on my evening run through the neighborhood. So I decided to bring the video camera with me tonight and take a short walk to capture some of these city deer in action. I filmed several bucks and many does as they fed amongst my fellow Athenians’ homes, gardens, and along the roadways. Athens does not have an urban archery season which allows the urban population to continue to grow. There seems to be some mumbling around the water cooler regarding this subject, so maybe, just maybe, I will have the chance to stick a “city deer” before we leave town in a few years.
All deer in this video were within plain view from the street, within one mile of my house, and filmed from within the public right-of-way.
