2nd Bird Bites the Dust

Lady luck shined upon me as I bagged my 2nd Virginia long beard of the 2017 season.  While hunting in the Jefferson National Forest I came upon an area completely tore up with fresh scratchin’ and knew the birds had to be close.  A few calls later and the henned up gobbler answered.  I ended up having to call in the whole flock before fate would allow me to squeeze off a 35 yard shot through the mountain laurels.

A great 2yr old bird and a great start to the 2017 season!
